Payment of Services:

Marathon accepts payment in the form of credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express or personal check). A non-refundable retainer of 50% and all materials required for site creation must be received before services will be rendered. Full payment must be received before the site is placed online.

Domain Transfer and Account Cancellation:

For your security, all domain transfers and account cancellations must be received in writing via mail or fax with a valid signature of the primary contact for the account, account name and reason for transfer/cancellation. We also accept account cancellations and transfer requests submitted from the registered e-mail address of the account holder. Phone requests will not constitute acceptance of any cancellation or transfer request. Domain registration fees are non-refundable.

Hosting Fees:

Marathon Internet Services offers two hassle-free options for paying your monthly hosting fee. You may select automatic monthly credit card drafts or pay one full year by check and save 10%. Marathon does not accept checks on a monthly basis to pay for hosting fees. All payments must be made by credit card or paid in full for 12 months by check or credit card.

E-mail Usage:

Due to SPAM regulations, you may not setup e-mail accounts provided as part of Marathon Internet Services to automatically forward your mail to an e-mail account held with another ISP. To access your e-mail account from any location, utilize Marathon’s free web-based e-mail service. Marathon E-mail Accounts may not be used for sending mass e-mails. If you need to send messages en masse, ask about Marathon’s E-Mail Marketing Service.

Third-Party Websites:

Marathon Internet Services is not responsible for functionality or maintenance of websites produced by other vendors or suppliers and reserves the right to remove or disable the website if it is determined to be a risk to security or server performance.

Marathon’s Service Warranty:

Marathon provides technical assistance for services purchased from Marathon Internet Services if the problem is the result of setup or configuration of the website. Marathon does not provide technical training for products and services not purchased from Marathon Internet Services. However, should you find a problem with the setup or hosting of your website please contact Marathon Internet Services.

Website Creation:

Custom features not found in our catalog will be quoted. Design fees include up to two proofs of the home page and two proofs of the overall site design. Once the home page design has been approved, development of the remaining pages will begin. Additional proofs will incur additional charges. For approximate production times please contact an account representative.

Search Engines:

Marathon Internet Services cannot guarantee search engine ranking. The development of meta tags and keywords are the responsibility of the client.

Renewals:

To avoid any disruption of website access, all hosting accounts are automatically renewed at the end of the specified purchase term at the current pricing of the similar featured service.
